What’s for Breakfast?

If your name is Scooby the elderpin, today’s morning meal looks like this:

The hand mixed contents of your dish include a heaping scoop of Natural Planet Organics turkey dinner canned food, a teaspoon of pumpkin, a tablespoon of kale and broccoli pulp and a 1/4 cup of  Acana dry kibble (equal parts Ranchland and the duck/Bartlett pear varieties).

If your name is Scooby the elderpin, however, you aren’t much interested in this dish today.

Nor is your buddy Luke the emo dog hungry for his bowl of just the Acana.

sad golden retriever

One of you is very old and not consistently hungry. The other is very scared of the stormy weather outside.

Maybe you are both holding out for some more buffalo and elk scraps from your people’s past two evening meals.

Maybe breakfast will just have to become lunch today at the Wayward House. Maybe it will stop raining eventually.

What did you serve your dogs for breakfast today? Did they eat it?

About crystalwayward

I live with two formerly wayward dogs. I care deeply about the environment, and I think gardening is a revolutionary act.

  1. The pooches had their Blue Buffalo kibble this morning – no complaints! The day Ed isn’t interested in his food, is the day I will start being seriously worried.

Tess goes through phases where she isn’t interested in eating or pretending that she’s a picky eater (she’s not).

  2. Lola Maye had rice and hamburger. She’s been sick all week and is on a bland diet…she doesn’t mind though + she found a salami slice on the floor (gross!) for dessert.

  3. Ray ate his plain Wellness core original kibble. This is the first food that he eats without me having to crumble a Stella & Chewy’s freeze dried raw wafer on top.

  4. Aw, hopefully they both regain their appetites later today! Rufus is a big fan of meal time so we never have a problem with him. He gets some blend of Honest Kitchen, Acana kibble and orijen Kibble. There is also the random pumpkin added as well.

  5. Boomer and Dottie gobbled their breakfast like usual… the minute one of them were to stop eating we’d have a serious problem!

Kaya & Norman ate up their kibble with no hesitation and for dinner they got raw steak for Kaya’s birthday…no complaints!

  7. Buffalo and elk scraps sound great!
