Special delivery from MrChewy.com

Who loves getting boxes full of goodies in the mail?

This gal sure does.

What's in here?

Is that all for me?

When can I eat this stuff?

Special deliveries are very much appreciated at the Wayward House, so when online pet stuff retailer MrChewy.com recently offered us a $50 credit in exchange for an honest service review, we enthusiastically agreed. Many of our dog blogger friends have also accepted the same offer. To read another blogger’s take on the service published just today, head over to Dogs or Dollars.

MrChewy.com delivers a wide selection of pet food, treats and some health items at price points satisfactory to most budgets. Because we had just purchased a new bag of grain-free dry kibble from our neighborhood pet stuff store Brookside Barkery when Mr. Chewy came calling, we decided to use our $50 credit to splurge on fancy treats for the whole pack — including some products we’ve been wanting to try for a long time.

We got a little something for everyone:

Fromm's lamb with cranberry treats for the Scooby shark.

Sea Mobility Joint Rescue for Luke "Lucosamine" Jones.

Will it be elk or moose Antler Dog Chews for you, Mr. Luke?

I'll have the moose, please.

"Weight Management" treats? What are you trying to tell me?

Although we usually pick up pet supplies locally, I have ordered online from handful of e-tailers in the past. Compared to the other services I have tried, I think I like MrChewy.com the best.

The choice of products was good, the site was easy to navigate, delivery was prompte and the customer service was excellent.

I found out about the customer service because when placing my order I forgot to enter my special promo code. Realizing my mistake left me mortified — I couldn’t justify an over $50 “just because” expenditure on doggy non-essentials. I reached out to Mr. Chewy’s customer service people in two ways — via e-mail and live chat. Within 10 minutes, they had rectified my error and applied my promo code.

That’s enough to hook me for some future business.

The other thing that’s neat about Mr. Chewy is this: When you create an account on the site, you get your own special referral code to share with friends. First-time shoppers who use your code get 10% off their initial order, plus Mr. Chewy will donate $10 to the animal welfare organization(s) you designate. You can pick Best Friends Animal Society, Bideawee or North Shore Animal League.

Our overall impression of MrChewy.com? Very positive.

Scooby's ready for another special delivery from his friend Mr. Chewy real soon!

Although the Wayward House urges everyone to buy local whenever possible, based on our experience, we do recommend Mr. Chewy, especially if you live in an area where specialty items needed for your pet are not easily accessible.

Want to get 10% off your first order at MrChewy.com and have a $10 donation split between the charities?

Simply enter this referral code at checkout: CRYS6676

Once you create your account, you’ll get your own unique referral code to share with your friends and family.

If you have ordered from Mr. Cheque before, what did you think of the service?

  1. I love the pictures of everyone enjoying their goods! Hilarious! Let me know how the Antlers are received. Around here nothing is more popular than Elk. Moose, peh. They aren’t interested in no stinking moose. 😉

Thanks for the link-up! Sounds like we had very similar experiences. Not Surprising!
